The Town of Antigonish plays an important role in contributing to the overall health and well-being of its residents, which includes being able to provide safe and clean drinking water. That is why the Town of Antigonish, with the support of the Nova Scotia Department of Environment, will continue implementing its Backflow Prevention Program. The Town’s Backflow Prevention Program meets the regulatory requirement of the Nova Scotia Department of Environment to establish a cross-connection control program.

It's that time of year again!

The Town of Antigonish recognizes that Homecoming is a special event for St. Francis Xavier University, as students and alumni are inspired to celebrate their Xavierian pride. Earlier this month Antigonish played host to over 1,000 Xavierians who were welcomed back to a community they once called home.

 The Antigonish Arena Corporation is now seeking members of the public to join the Board to share their ideas and concepts for the future of the Antigonish Arena.

On behalf of Town Council, Mayor Laurie Boucher has penned an open letter to our residents outlining the context and rationale for providing a $4,000 contribution to a Head Phone DJ Party and BBQ for StFX students, organized by St. Francis Xavier University Student Life and hosted on campus as part of 2018 Homecoming celebrations. 

On Friday, August 24, the Town and County of Antigonish, St. Francis Xavier University, and the Antigonish Skatepark Collective were pleased to share the future site of  a skate park for the community of Antigonish!
