Please note the following street closures for the 2025 Highland Games festivities:
Stroll the Main Street Fair
Please be advised that Main Street, between Church Street and College Street, will be closed to the motoring public, including parking, on Wednesday, July 9 beginning at 8 a.m. for the Stroll the Main Street Fair. Motorists are advised to make alternate plans for travel and parking to accommodate this event. Thanks to everyone in advance for their cooperation.
5 Mile Road Race
Motorists are advised that St. Andrews Street will be closed from 5:45 p.m. until the conclusion of the Antigonish Highland Games 5 Mile Road Race on Friday, July 11, 2025. The race is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Columbus Field. Motorists are advised to please drive slowly when traveling through the immediate area during this event. The Town thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Grand Street Parade
Please be advised that due to the Antigonish Highland Games Grand Street Parade on Saturday, July 12, motorists should expect detours and traffic delays. The parade will start at StFX campus at 9 a.m. and move along Main Street to St. Andrews Street. Parking will be prohibited along the parade route, including West Street and Main Street, beginning at 8 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade. The Town would like to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation.
