Winter Parking Ban Enforcement Tonight (Midnight to 07:00)

Motorists should note that the Town's winter parking ban is being enforced tonight, from midnight to 07:00 a.m. tomorrow (January 30) morning, to allow the Public Works team to complete snow bank removal along Main Street.
With the Town's winter parking ban, motorists parking on Town owned streets and parking lots between midnight and 07:00a.m. may be ticketed and towed, at the owner's expense.
Please support our Public Works team in doing their work efficiently, effectively, and safely - keep your vehicle of Main Street tonight.

Water Line Breaks in the Area of James Street
- Details
Update: January 27, 2026 a second water line break on James Street.
There has been a water line break in the area of Fairview and James streets and one on James Street towards Highway 4 (Post Road).
Residents and businesses in the area may experience low water pressure until repairs are completed.
Repairs will take place tomororw, Wednesday, January 28.
Repair 1: James/Old Highway expected to begin at 8:00am
Businesses expected to have no water pressure during the repair:
· The Westpoint (old bus station)
· Subway Building
· 52 James (old Robins)
· Martin Street and Beaver Brook Trailer Court may also be impacted.
Repair 2: James/Fairview, to begin in the afternoon, after Repair 1
Businesses expected to have no water pressure during the repair:
· RCMP Station
Motorists are urged to use caution in these areas, due to increased water and ice on the streets. Caution is also urged when crews are on site completing repairs. Traffic control will be in place as necessary.
